Ultimate Guide To Dog-Friendly Places: Hang Out With Your Doggy All Day, Every Day!

Have you had your little pooch begging you with those innocent puppy eyes hoping that you’d bring them along with you? Well, you are not the only one. We too, spend at least 5 minutes every single day at the door assuring them that we’d be back in a few hours. However, that doesn’t mean that we aren’t guilty leaving them all alone. *inserts crying emoji*

Why not bring your pooch along to your next gathering? We have compiled a fun list of dog-friendly places: cafes, beaches and even a hotel, that allows you to spend some time with your fur-kid! No more sad, droopy eyes staring back at you. Plus, they also get to socialise and make some new friends. That’s definitely a win-win for doggy and us!

Dog-Friendly Restaurants/Cafes

Admit it, all of us dog owners secretly wish all cafes are dog-friendly.

We’re glad to announce that this secret dream of ours is actually coming true. There are quite a few dog-friendly cafes with excellent food in Singapore.

Not all of them have separate menus for our furry friends though, but we are sure that they are contented just lying around and spending time with us!

1) The Coastal Settlement

A superb area located in Changi, The Coastal Settlement has both indoor and outdoor seating areas. It is a cosy and spacious cafe with pretty awesome food for the humans. Also, water bowls are complimentary for our little ones.

There are a few fenced up areas in Singapore called dog runs. These facilities are created just for our cute little ones. Remove those leashes and set them free, so they can enjoy the freedom of being in the great outdoors at least for awhile. We reckon they’d be so happy (and tired!) afterwards.

Drury Lane serves all-day breakfast with additional dishes on the weekends. While customers can choose the bar seats as they watch their coffee brew in the open kitchen, the second storey offers a more spacious seating with the choice of a stool, couch or crate boxes as you work away on your laptop in the cosy minimalist setting.

If you’re wondering what is “Penny University” all about, here’s a quick fact-sharing: During the 18th century, London was known for its burgeoning coffee culture when more and more people gathered at coffeehouses. Gradually, their casual conversations led to reasoned discussions. With coffee priced at a mere penny back then, their coffee culture eventually became associated with the term “Penny University”.

Today, paying homage to London’s coffee culture, the East Coast coffee joint, Penny University café is a favourite amongst café-goers in Singapore. While it clearly isn’t a legit education university, Penny University is serious about its business – especially its coffee brews. Their artisan coffees are known to be nicely proportioned and textured, which keep caffeine lovers coming back for more despite its no-frills menu.

Besides their selection of velvety cakes and food items infused with distinctive twists such as Moroccan spices, Penny University offers a snug afternoon in the dimly-lit setting replete with modern vintage interior designs.

*Free Wi-Fi and available power points
