Earlier this week, the Meterological Service in Singapore (MSS) announced that this February could be one of the top five warmest Februaries since 1929.
We all get too happy over the cooler temperatures during the Chinese New Year weekend – the average daily minimum temperature for the first half of this month was almost 2°C warmer than that of all the previous years. However, that’s going to change soon.
MSS reported that the second half of this month is forecasted to be hotter and drier compared to the first half of February with the temperature range expected to be between 25°C all the way until 34°C. This could be ranked among the top five warmest Februaries since records began in 1929, which recorded the long term mean monthly temperature of 27.1°C.
Despite that, thundery showers are still forecasted for about five to six days for the rest of the month.
So brace yourself, the hot weather is coming in the next few days!
