CB2 exits Singapore (temporarily) with a closing down sale
The same fate is happening to CB2, the sister store of American furniture and homeware brand Crate & Barrel, just 3 years after its Singapore debut. Unlike Celio and New Look, CB2 may open again next year.
They are shutting their CB2 store at Peranakan Place next month with a closing down sale of up to 75% (April 15- May 14).
To mourn the end of these stores, here are 10 stores that once made waves in Singapore but had to close down no thanks to sky high cost.
10 other stores that didn’t make it in SG
1. Ben Sherman
Ben Sherman, the British fashion label worn by generations of home-grown musicians, unfortunately did not hit the right notes with Singaporeans.
2. Kate Spade Saturday
Remember how we once raved over the bright yellow stores and covet to all cute accessories by the brand? Source
3. River Island
How can we ever forget the cringe on our face when River Island closed down in Singapore? Fortunately they can still be found on Zalora!
4. Lowry’s Farm
As much as we love Lowry’s Farm, we can’t help but wonder how do people actually wear all that fabric in sunny Singapore?
5. M)phosis
We were a little sad when M)phosis shut down their last store in Singapore. They were once cited as among the more successful home-grown labels!
6. Alldressedup
In 2013, Alldressedup announced that they were going on hiatus. We don’t know how long this hiatus will last but we do hope they’ll be back in the future.
7. FrancFranc

When the Japanese lifestyle store just opened in Singapore, I told myself “I want a house-full of decorative items from FrancFranc”. Who else shared this sentiment?
8. iwannagohome!
From cushions, artworks, to teapots and cutlery… who went and swept everything they could during iwannagohome’s closing down sales? Own up now! *raises hand*
9. Aussino
There goes our go to place for white hotel towels and bedsheets!
10. Perlini’s Silver
Our secondary school Tiffany & Co. ’nuff said. #thosewerethedays
