We often complain that there’s nothing much do in the city. Weekends can get a little routined (shopping, eating, shopping). Well, if you look for the right things at the right places, you might find something a little different. When you’re tired of the same old view, it’s time to look upwards (not down!) and check out these 6 spectacular sky-high places in Singapore!
1. Fort Siloso Skywalk, Sentosa
If you think Sentosa is all about the beaches, this 11-storey high scenic aerial walkway will prove you wrong. Known as the tallest skywalk tower in Singapore, its distinctive S-shaped design is created to minimise heat and vibration. With a length of 181-metres long, the aerial walking trail allows visitors to enjoy a different view on each side: treetops, the sea, and also the rooftop of Shangri-La’s Rasa Sentosa Resort & Spa!
Both Fort Siloso and the skywalk are free admission for all and there are guided tours for those who are interested to know more on the history of Fort Siloso. Free entry, good ventilation and only a 5-minute walk away from Fort Siloso, this is a great place for family adventures, friendly hangouts and dates too!

Ever wonder how Singapore looks like from the view of an award-winning building? Just head to The Pinnacle@Duxon and have your breath taken away. This HDB features the world’s two longest sky bridges of 500 metres each, on both the 26th floor (only for residents) and 50th floor (open to public).
The 50th floor skybridge is open daily from 9.00am-9.00pm but only 200 members of the public can access the bridge per day. Once the quota of 200 is met, no further access will be allowed on the same day. Be early and don’t forget to bring your EZ Link card to pay for the $5 entry fee.

3. Handerson Waves Bridge
Standing at 36 metres above Henderson Road, the Henderson wave is Singapore’s highest pedestrian bridge, linking Mount Faber Park to Telok Blagah Hill Park. What makes this bridge really attractive is the very Instagram-able wave-like structure that goes alternately above and below the deck.
Rumour has it that this bridge offers the best sunrise and sunset views. The bridge also takes on a different look at night when the waves are illuminated with LED lights from 7pm to 2am daily.

4. Tree Top Walk, MacRitchie
For those who enjoy outdoor activities and lush greeneries, you have to check out MacRitchie Reservoir Park! A gateway to Singapore’s nature reserve, this 12 hectare green haven is equipped with hiking trails, pontoon for kayakers, canoe shed and the famed Tree Top Walk, a 250 metre suspended pathway between two highest points in MacRitchie.
The Tree Top Walk offers a bird’s eye view of the plants and animals that live in the forest canopy. We know the scenery there is amazing and you probably want to Instagram it but don’t forget to put your cameras down and admire it with your own eyes.
5. Sands SkyPark Observation Deck, Marina Bay Sands
50 storeys above ground, the Sands SkyPark Observation Deck at Marina Bay Sands might be one of the most modern skywalks around. Complete with the world’s largest rooftop infinity pool, it offers one of the best city-skyline views – some say from a bird’s eye view!
With a variety of bars and restaurants at Level 57, [entry fee: $23 for adults, $20 for senior citizens and $17 for children (2-12 years old)], it seems like it could be a great family affair and gathering up there in the skies!

6. OCBC Skyway, Gardens by the Bay
The OCBC Skyway is a 128-metre-long out-in-the-open walkway constructed to offer a unique sensation of floating above ground. At 22 metres high, it gives a beautiful, scenic glimpse of the panoramic skyway.
It is recommended that you visit the OCBC Skyway for the Garden Rhapsody light and sound show (free entry) which plays twice daily at 7.45pm and 8.45pm. Admire the gardens as the large canopies come alive at night, accompanied by music and sparkling lights. Entry fee of $5 for adults and $3 for kids to the skywalk seem reasonable for an exceptional experience of a lifetime.
