This one’s for the craft beer enthusiasts- Copenhagen’s experimental brewery, Mikkeller, has set up shop in Singapore. Look out for Mikkeller’s distinct illustrations along Prinsep Street, where the cult beer brand has made itself home in the hipster 40-foot containers of Deck.

For those unfamiliar with the name “Mikkeller”, the gypsy brewery started from a series of experiments by Mikkel Borg Bjergsø and his childhood friend Kristian Keller. Playing around with malt, hops, and yeast in their kitchens resulted in tasty micro-brewed creations, which took off among friends and eventually grew into a cult sensation around the world.
And after Bangkok, Seoul, and Tokyo, this cult brand has finally reached our shores, and we’re stoked. Brought in by craft beer distribution company The Drinking Partners and tap bar Druggists, the Mikkeller Bar at Deck features 20 taps pouring out the brand’s exclusive brews.
Mainstays on the tap are the house brews Bugis Brown, Prinsep Pilsner and Waterloo Wit. Apart from those, expect to be surprised by their changing creations – craft beer lovers will no doubt be going back on multiple visits to taste the newest brews of this cult beer brand.

Having amassed a firm following in their hometown of Copenhagen and other cities, we’re sure it won’t take long for Mikkeller to develop a following in our tropical city. If the crowd during their opening is any indication, they’ve already started to gain some cult-beer-loving fans.
