For those of you who live and breathe Star Wars, good news for you! The Star Wars Festival is coming to Singapore’s Gardens by the Bay this May.
A three day festival that begins on 4 May (of course) and runs till 6 May, this is an event chock full of Star Wars-themed activities that will delight and knock the socks off any Star Wars fanatic.
A collaboration between the Singapore Tourism Board and The Walt Disney Company, here are some of the highlights from the festival that are worth checking out!
Watch The Supertrees Come To Life
A true Star Wars fan will probably tell you that the Star Wars soundtrack is one of the most epic, spectacular pieces of music to grace to our ears. This year, the Supertrees will be lighting up to the soundtrack’s unmistakable tunes.
To kick things up a notch, this light and sound display will see the Supertrees turning into larger-than-life lightsabers!

Get Up Close And Personal With Star Wars Characters & Memorabilia
Let’s admit it, most of us Star Wars fans have a favourite character (mine’s Yoda) and seeing them come to life would be like it’s Christmas!
Luckily for us, fan favourites Chewbacca and Kylo Ren will be making 30 minute appearances at Gardens by the Bay. If you’re a fan of of the jaw-dropping machinery featured in the movies, check out the iconic All-Terrain Scout Transport (AT – ST) standing guard at the Supertree Grove.
Can never have enough Star Wars memorabilia? The Supertree Grove will also be playing host to a Star Wars fan convention. Look out for Star Wars fan groups decked out in Star Wars costumes, and take home fan-made commemorative memorabilia as well!

All-Round Star Wars Experience
Prefer to enjoy Star Wars day the old-school way? Head to The Meadow to catch Star Wars: The Force Awakens, with the night sky serving as the perfect backdrop for the intergalactic adventure.
While it may be too late to sign up for the Star Wars Run, fret not! You’ll still be able to cheer the runners on from the sidelines. Runners will be donning Light and Dark Side race shirts, and we’re betting there will be Star Wars die-hards decked in full costume, making their way around Marina Bay!
