If there’s one thing many of us millennials have in common, it’s wanderlust.
We’re constantly restless for our next overseas adventure, and having stylish influencers constantly flooding our Insta-feeds with glamorous snaps from their escapades really doesn’t help.
If you’re long overdue for a vacay, or just need a break from the daily hustle of life, there’s a trip coming up in October you just may want to take.
AMco and Royal Caribbean International have partnered up to organise a social media-centric cruise package, and it will take place on the magnificent Mariner of the Seas.
Surrounded by blue seas and plenty of sunshine and, this is the perfect weekend getaway – and a good reason to break out those breezy sundresses and cute bikinis!
Above all, you’ll want to get three things ready: Your camera, your phone, and your chargers, because you’re definitely going to need them.
Up Your Insta-Game At Sea
What exactly does a social media-centric cruise entail?
Well, influencers, for one.
Aside from the usual entertainment options and outdoor facilities, interacting with influencers is a key part of the activities on board.
Meet And Mingle With Influencers
On board the cruise will be food blogger Alvin Lim of Alvinology, lifestyle influencer Maybeline Sim (@maybelinesim), and DiscoverSG’s very own ambassador, Phyllis Tan (@phyllisphyrris).
Ever wonder what it takes to snap the perfect shot? Want to know how to make food look as good on the ‘gram as it does in real life? There will be plenty of opportunities on board the ship for you to ask the influencers yourself!
Have all your burning questions answered as you mingle with them during dinnertime, or when you bump into them on board the ship.
Food Photography
Both on and off board the ship, there will be no lack of opportunities to put your newfound know-how to the test – one of them being the food on board.
You’ll be treated to a lavish spread on board the ship.
At the Main Dining Hall, watch the influencers work their social media magic, turning out the perfect photos.
Specialty lunch will also be provided at Giovanni’s table, where you can feast on a sumptuous spread of Italian, family-style food. Take note that additional charges apply.
Activities Off Board
On the second day, spend (almost) an entire day exploring the sights, sounds, and of course, delicious flavours of Kuala Lumpur.
All guests will dock off at Kuala Lumpur. After an hour-long journey, you’ll be dropped off at Pavilion Shopping Mall in the famous Bukit Bintang area, from which you can wander off on your own!
Take this opportunity to visit Bintang Walk, a street lined with themed restaurants and cafes.
While there, also make sure you see one of the world’s tallest buildings, the Petronas Twin Towers, in person!
