$3,000 Is Up For Grabs At BeLive’s In-App Trivia Game – Here Are 3 Hacks To Help You Win

belive master brain

If you’ve played HQ Trivia, the viral app that lets their users participate in a live trivia game, you’ve probably wondered: “Is there a way to cheat the system?”

Now Singapore has their own version of HQ Trivia as well. With the success of its first live trivia gameshow earlier in February, BeLive has started to roll out daily live trivia gameshow at 9pm since 14 March. It has been renamed as “Master Brain” and users can win up to S$1,000 a day!

There are a total of 10 questions for you to answer and you only have 10 seconds to pick the right option. Get one wrong and you’re out of the game.

Winners get to split the cash prize of the day. However, if there are no winners, the money rolls over to the next day.

[caption id="attachment_37262" align="aligncenter" width="1920"]belive master brain Image Credit: GIF Credit: Discover SG[/caption]

It’s important to note that this isn’t a foolproof strategy. Firstly, this tactic works best with straightforward questions that lend themselves well to searches.

The trick is not to ask the exact question but rather focus on the keywords and pray to the Google Gods that their powerful search engine will surface the needed information.

Is cheating at Master Brain through a voice google search unethical? Maybe. Certainly it was something their game designers anticipated and the time limit alone suggests that they’re trying to make it hard to do.

Two Brains Are Better Than One

You might think it’s smooth sailing as you breeze through the first few rounds but the majority of players get booted around the sixth or seventh round.

[caption id="attachment_37263" align="aligncenter" width="6000"]belive master brain Image Credit: Discover SG[/caption]

Outsmarting the game by frantically Googling the answers to your questions in hopes that you’ll get the correct answer under 10 seconds is impractical at best. So the next best thing you can do is to gather a group of friends and pray that someone in your group knows the answer to the questions.

Let’s face it, even if you win, you’re most likely only going to win a fraction of the jackpot, so why not increase your chances by divvying that slice up just a lil more.

Just be sure that when everyone is huddling at 9pm, everyone else is playing on their own device so you can submit different answers on questions everyone is iffy on. You’ll stand a better chance at making it all the way to the last round.

Earn Your Revives

Whenever you invite a friend to play Master Brain, you earn a “Revive”, which allows you to continue playing even when you get a question wrong.

[caption id="attachment_37242" align="aligncenter" width="1318"] Image Credit: What if we tell you that you can stand a chance to win up to $3,000 this Saturday?

This Saturday, 15 September, Master Brain will be hosting their biggest event yet. From 6 – 10pm at Scape, fans of this game can come together to play Master Brain.

[caption id="attachment_37264" align="aligncenter" width="1536"]BeLive master brain Image Credit: Scape[/caption]

If playing amongst your group of friends is stressful enough, imagine playing with at least 2,000 other strangers at Scape. It’ll probably be the most intense game in the history of Master Brain.

Before the game starts at 9pm, complete these Quest Cards which will give you an edge for the Master Brain game. All you have to do is collect stickers along with hints for the $3,000 Master Brain game from participating booths at the event.

[caption id="attachment_37265" align="aligncenter" width="1316"]BeLive Master Brain Quest Cards | Image Credit: Play a simple game at each booth while collecting stickers & redeem free products when you win!

There are 5 stickers to be collected and the completed card can be used for the Lucky Draw ($1,000 Scoot Voucher) and a redemption of a Revive.

The Master Brain game will be hosted by 2 of the most popular emcees on the BeLive app, Amos Ngeow (@amosngeow) and Lee Byung Jun (@junn0215)!

If you’re looking forward to earning extra cash fast, join in on the biggest Master Brain game yet.

Who knows, with the combination of our hacks, your knowledge and luck might just pay off this weekend!

The Ultimate Guide To BeLive’s GSS Flash Sale – Live Reviews, Deals, How It Works

If your life revolves around makeup and skincare products, you know how pricey they can get. Let’s be real, most of us are guilty of spending WAY too much money on makeup that we’ve somehow managed to convince ourselves that we need.

I like to call this an “investment” because we all deserve great things in life.

If you do desperately need a lil pampering, then we have good news. What if we tell you that you can treat yourself without breaking the bank this month?

BeLive is no stranger to many of us. It’s Asia’s premium social live streaming platform that connects you with real people in real-time. You can also catch local influencers such as Naomi Neo and Bong Qiu Qiu on the app as well!

[caption id="attachment_35303" align="aligncenter" width="1080"]BeLive Singapore Image Credit: BeLive[/caption]

And now that their Flash Sales are back this GSS, you get to shop guilt-free, with beauty products going at 50% off. You better BeLive it! Who said beauty has to be expensive?

Sneak Peek of BeLive’s GSS Flash Sales

You have one more week to enjoy BeLive’s flash sale which will be happening on Monday (25 June) and Thursday (28 June).

They say good things must share so we have insider info of what will be on sale these two days. Here’s what you should camp for.

ColourPop Lippie Stix ($4.50, U.P. $9)

When it comes to affordable lip sticks, ColourPop comes into mind. This brand exploded all over social media in 2015 and for a good reason – they offer pigmented products at affordable prices.

[caption id="attachment_35302" align="aligncenter" width="800"]BeLive Singapore Image Credit: BeLive[/caption]

The Lippie Stix reminds me of those twistable crayons we all used to love and went crazy over in primary school. So if you have kids, maybe keep this one away from them in case they plan on using it for their next art piece.

Honestly, where else can you get lip sticks THIS cheap in Singapore? Even drug store lipsticks will cost you at least $10.

$4.50 lipsticks you say? Sign me up!

Tarte Glow To Go Palette ($17.50, U.P. $35)

We can all agree that a little bit of glow goes a long way.

Our goal in life is to blind everyone else with our highlight and what better way to do that than with Tarte’s Glow To Go Palette. It’s a compact trio housed in a slim, black cardboard palette with a velvety feel on the outside. This palette includes two highlighters and one contour powder.

[caption id="attachment_35299" align="aligncenter" width="800"]BeLive Singapore Image Credit: BeLive[/caption]

Perfect for those day to night kind of looks. Also very handy to carry around in your bag so you can do a quick touch up right after work.

There’s no way you can get a highlight palette at $17.50 in this economy. So if you’re a highlight queen, this is your MUST-HAVE makeup item.

This product will be reviewed by @thatericboy on Thursday, 28 June, 9.15pm onwards. Time to glo-up fam!

How It Works

If you’re already convinced and you can’t wait to get your hands on the items mentioned, then this is how it works!

Step 1: Tune In At 9.15 PM Sharp

Punctuality is key! If you want to steal this product, then you have to get on the BeLive app at 9.15pm sharp to catch the flash sale live stream.

We highly recommend camping on your phone at least 10 minutes before the live stream! Good things come to those who wait.

Step 2: Click To Buy

A shop button will appear in the live stream from 9.30pm. You don’t have to leave the app at all. All you have to do is click the shop button and it will redirect you to the page with a promo code to get 50% off your desired makeup item.

Best part, the live stream will continue playing in the background as the influencer continues explaining the product to you.

Step 3: Fastest Fingers First

Here’s the catch. This deal ends in 15 minutes. So once that shop button appears, you have to be quick before they run out of stock!

All those years of running through Sephora for your last minute make up runs will finally be put to use. Good luck and may the Make Up Gods be ever in your favour.

We Found Some Mad Local Talent On This Streaming App And You Better BeLive It

With the rise of social media, sharing bits of our personal lives has never been easier.

If you’re a millennial, you’re probably familiar with the wonders of live streaming apps such as Instagram Live, YouNow, and Periscope. Maybe you’re even a live streamer yourself!

While each is unique in its own way, our favourite for discovering local talent has to be BeLive.

BeLive is a local live streaming app, and some great undiscovered talents are on there, streaming their performances. Think of it as busking – but online.

Here are some of the talents you should keep your eye – and ear – out for on the app!

[caption id="attachment_30791" align="aligncenter" width="1200"] Image Credit: Image Credit: @yokezofficial[/caption]

With 9.1K subscribers on YouTube, Yokez is an independent singer-songwriter and keyboardist with an incredibly impressive portfolio.

She mainly covers Chinese songs and sings a mean cover of “Let’s Not Be Friends In Future” by Eric Chou. Yokez is always chatty on stream and bursts into songs that are mentioned by the people watching her livestream.

Always funny, always entertaining.

2. Marcus Lee Jun Wei

[caption id="attachment_30794" align="aligncenter" width="1080"] Image Credit: @leejunweimarcus[/caption]

Marcus was the 2nd runner-up in Campus Superstar 2 and also the lead frontman of indie rock band “Exdee”. He is also the lead singer of the 3-piece acoustic group “Footprint” and also currently under the mentorship of local rapper Shigga Shay.

Being a versatile performer, Marcus covers a wide range of genres from pop, jazz and rock, to ballads and 90’s classics.

You can listen to him cover both English and Chinese songs on his streams. His cover of “Back At One” by Brian McKnight has us melting.

3. Veekher Wong

[caption id="attachment_30798" align="aligncenter" width="1080"] Image Credit: @veekherwong[/caption]

With 5.5K followers on BeLive, Veekher is not a stranger to livestreaming.

She enjoys performing English and Chinese songs on BeLive. We love her cover of Jay Chou’s “Love Confession” with Yokez. She’s also friends with Marcus Lee and he usually shows up in her streams.

Veekher usually streams at least once a week on BeLive as she enjoys how interactive the app is, compared to Facebook Live or Instagram.

Performing LIVE at: @veekherwong

4. Delvina See

[caption id="attachment_30807" align="aligncenter" width="853"] Image Credit: @sdelvinaa[/caption]

Delvina performs at *SCAPE with her siblings as a group known as thez3n. Their vocal harmony really shines in their rendition of “A Little Happiness” by Hebe Tian.

She has also been streaming on BeLive since 1 September 2016 and streams regularly to just hang out and chat with her viewers or sing.

Singing and chilling, sounds like a friday night at your favourite bar.

Performing LIVE at: @sdelvinaa

5. Sophia Tay

[caption id="attachment_30810" align="aligncenter" width="1080"] Image Credit: @sophtmusic[/caption]

Sophia is an aspiring singer-songwriter who sings both English and Chinese songs and also busks along the stretches of Orchard and Somerset.

If you’re lucky, you might even catch her streaming live from some of her gigs!

We love that she does the mouth trumpet thing that Nathan Hartono does as well.

[caption id="attachment_30822" align="aligncenter" width="480"] GIF Credit: giphy.com[/caption]

Performing LIVE at: @sophiataymusic

6. Brendon Chua

[caption id="attachment_30823" align="aligncenter" width="1080"] Image Credit: @brendonclf[/caption]

Did you know Brendon is the frontman of the local Alternative band, “The Façade“?

He also streams alone on BeLive, jamming and singing and it’s really vibey. He covers English songs, though he spends most of his time strumming on his guitar. We’re not complaining though, he’s a sight for sore eyes.

You can also check out his band’s YouTube covers here.

Performing LIVE at: @brendonclf

7. Chow Jia Hui

[caption id="attachment_30829" align="aligncenter" width="1080"] Image Credit: @chowjiahui[/caption]

Jia Hui started streaming on BeLive since 6 July and sings regularly on her streams. She enjoys singing and performing and BeLive provides a platform for her to interact with other users with the same interests.

Also, she does mean acoustic renditions of Ed Sheeran, Sam Smith, and James Arthur.

So if you’re looking for a hilarious streamer with a wicked sense of humour and great music, don’t miss out on Jia Hui’s livestreams!

Performing LIVE at: @chowjiahui

8. Tessa Lee

[caption id="attachment_30831" align="aligncenter" width="993"] Image Credit: @tessawoohoo[/caption]

Tessa enjoys doing covers and regularly shares snippets of her covers on Instagram and Instastories but took to BeLive to be able to stream and perform live.

We are obsessed with her cover of “Rockabye” by Clean Bandit and “Location” by Khalid.

She streams quite regularly so don’t miss out on her acoustic renditions of hit songs!

Performing LIVE at: @tessawoohoo

With these talented musicians streaming and performing on BeLive, don’t say Singapore has no talent.

[caption id="attachment_30837" align="aligncenter" width="749"] Image Credit: BeLive[/caption]
