According to the Singapore Land Authority, the iconic Tanjong Pagar Railway Station (TPRS) will be opened to the public on Christmas this Friday (Dec 25), from 9am to 6pm.
During the public holiday, you can take the opportunity to visit the historic site to take photos or sketch their impressions of the national monument. You may then deposit these drawings at the former ticketing counter of the station, and the drawings may be displayed at future openings, SLA added.
If you, like us are unfamiliar with the Tanjong Pagar Railway Station, do take this opportunity this Friday to check out the place. The last opening was last month during Deepavali. Here are some photos of the TPRS for your photo taking inspirations this Friday:
"Accept that not everyone will understand you, that every soul is its own equation. While you may be little more than senseless gibberish to some, others will need only a single look to get a grasp of who you are. Never dull, dumb down or adjust yourself to fit somewhere you don’t belong." Visited the former Tanjong Pagar railway station this morning. As I was about to leave I saw this guy here preparing his #starwars characters for a photoshoot. Today's story line is a rebel being interrogated. When I chatted with him I could feel his energy when he said "been wanting to do this for so loooong". I assume he had been waiting for this place to be open to public. You can follow his work on Instagram @zekezachzoom #tanjongpagarrailwaystation #railway #singapore
Just managed to make it in time to visit the #TanjongPagarRailwayStation which was open today especially for the public holiday (Happy Versak day one and all) For a little bit of a historical rundown as well as some more visuals you can head to the blog (edwardrussell.net/blog) where I've written a little something if you're interested and as nerdy as I am ? #EdwardExploresSG
Excited yet? Let us know if you do drop by the railway station on Friday! 🙂
