It’s mid-week and you’ve worked hard. Nothing soothes a tired soul like a good cafe and indulgent desserts. At DiscoverSG, we understand the need to pamper yourself, especially when life is so tough. We’ve got you covered, from flammable ice cream, and molten green tea desserts to a fancy chocolate and gold cake. Take a break and indulge in dessert!
Baked Alaska from Antoinette
A French patisserie and tea salon named after the last queen of France, the desserts at Antoinette are as classy as the decor. Of note, their Baked Alaska is a popular pick, with flamed Grand Marnier liquor poured over the blackcurrant meringue, containing vanilla ice cream with ‘griotte’ cherries cooked in kirsch, orange confit and almond nougatine. This is not only a party in your mouth, but on the table too!
Le Vacherin de la Reine from Antoinette
Not just indulgent, but also pretty. This dessert tempts and delights! First off, everything on the plate is edible, from the flowers to the fluffy spun sugar decoration. The highlight is the pink rose meringue, which hides the yuzu cream, vanilla creme chantilly and vanilla ice-cream filling that pairs perfectly with the decadent meringue casing and the strawberries on the side. Irresistible!

Tsujirihei Green Tea Tart from 2am: dessert bar
You’ve heard of chocolate lava, but what about green tea lava? That’s what you’ll get when you cut open this green tea tart. The molten green tea centre isn’t overly sweet, and it goes extremely well with the crumbly tart and the sherbet on the side. 2am : dessert bar is known for a variety of other innovative dessert creations, but for green tea lovers, this is the standout pick.

Magnum Roquefort from The Disgruntled Chef
Don’t judge an ice cream by its cover, because this isn’t just any old Magnum ice cream. Inside the sweet chocolate shell of the Magnum Roquefort is a rich blue cheese ice cream- yes, it in the flavour of the pungent blue cheese. Probably a love-it-or-hate-it dessert, head over to The Disgruntled Chef for this spin on the regular Magnum ice cream.
