Chalet BBQs Are So Overdone - These Donut Boats Let You Have A BBQ Party Out At Sea!

We Singaporeans love cooking our own food–sans the clean up of course.

Korean BBQs and steamboats have been all the rage on our little red dot. We must admit, cooking your own food minus the risk of burning the kitchen down is a rather attractive idea.

While there are now tons of BBQ and steamboat options to choose from on our tiny island, The Floating Donut Company is changing up the barbecue experience altogether by giving us a brand new kind of option – barbecueing at sea!

Intrigued? The Floating Donut Company actually rents out donut-shaped boats that come with a barbecue grill right in the centre! Operating on the shores of Siloso Beach, Sentosa, these unique boats can sit up to 9 guests.

The Floating Donut Company offers a range of packages, depending on your budget and the experience you’re looking for.

On a tight budget? Opt for the Snack & Cruise. You’ll get 50 minutes of floating time and an array of snacks at $48 per person!

Looking to hold a unique and intimate get-together? Book yourself the BBQ Lunch Cruise. With a choice of meats, side dishes, and desserts included, you’re guaranteed a fuss-free experience! Tagged at $75 per person (weekend rate), you’ll be out at sea for 1.5 hours–the perfect amount of time to fill your stomachs and catch up with friends!

Our only qualms? You can’t bring your own food on board and the lack of bathrooms can be a setback. But fret not, the captain is more than happy to head back to shore if nature calls!

With a private captain at the helm, speakers you can hook your phone up to and the calm seas, this is one barbecue party that will blow you out of the water (pun intended).
