If you’re anything like me, you spend a fair amount of time each day stalking cute puppies on Instagram, and watching gifs and videos of cute animals.

Who can resist cute animals on the Internet?

Given our affinity for memes and gifs, the Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals (SPCA) has decided to spread the message of adoption in a language and form we millennials are sure to understand: Memes.

Appropriately titled “Adopt A Meme”, this project turns our obsessive usage of memes in our daily conversations into a way through which we can all play a part in spreading the message of adoption. The SPCA has created a series of adoptable gif memes, featuring some its adorable furry residents.

Each meme features a resident of the SPCA that is up for adoption. Alongside these adorable furry creatures are the puns and social lingo we’ve grown so accustomed to using and seeing.

Each meme was crafted with the personality of the featured animal in mind, and even gives you details including their gender, age and when they came into the care of SPCA.

This is part of SPCA’s ‘Getting To Zero‘ programme, which aims to bring the killing of healthy and treatable companion animals in Singapore down to zero.

Whether or not you have the means to care for an animal, you certainly can help the residents of SPCA find a home just by bringing these memes into your online conversations with friends and family. To see all the adoptable memes, check out adopt-a-meme.spca.org.sg.

Every animal deserves a home and in this case, a little truly does go a very long way!
