Have you been to Japan in Sakura season? If you haven’t, then we’ve got some good news for you.

No, we’re not sponsoring any flights to Japan in Sakura season. Gardens By The Bay is bringing Sakura season to Singapore!

That’s right, from 17 March to 18 March 2018, Gardens By The Bay will be showcasing sakura flowers with anime-inspired displays, as part of the Sakura Matsuri: Anime Garden 2018.

A Sakura Affair

In collaboration with the Anime Festival Asia (AFA), the Supertree Grove and Flower Dome at the Gardens By The Bay will be transformed, with vibrant sakura displays and colourful themed activities including Anisong (anime song) concerts, celebrity cosplay appearances, a cosplay parade and a cosplay competition!

For the Pokemon fans, there will be Pokemon game booths and even a Pikachu parade (OMG!?!?!?).

While the Sakura Matsuri: Anime Garden will take place over 1 weekend, the Flower Dome will still have a Sakura display from 16 March 2018 to 8 April 2018, so there’ll still be plenty of time to catch a glimpse of the seasonal beauties.

Admission is free, though admission fees into the Flower Dome and Cloud Forest still applies.

So grab your friends and fellow anime fans and head down to Sakura Matsuri: Anime Garden 2018 on 17 and 18 March 2018!
