Forget Truffle Fries, These 7 Luncheon Meat Dishes Will Make You SPAM All Your Money
One of the most versatile yet underrated ingredients today, is the humble luncheon meat. Americans might be more familiar with the name “SPAM“. No, not the junk mail. As in the canned meat.
You can choose to eat the meat as it is, though we wouldn’t recommend it as it’s REALLY salty.
[caption id="attachment_31344" align="aligncenter" width="564"] Image Credit: Image Credit: Burpple User Nobelle Liew[/caption]Thick cut strips of fried SPAM served with a side of mayonnaise. It’s a simple dish but so so good.
The mayonnaise helps to cut through the oiliness of the SPAM fries. But let’s be honest, the fries disappear before you even touch the mayonnaise.
It’s a little pricey at $11.90, but it’s so worth it.

2. Free Flow SPAM Fries @ TAP Craft Beer Bar
[caption id="attachment_31336" align="aligncenter" width="1080"] Image Credit: @tapsingapore[/caption]This is the greatest piece of news ever. Every Thursday at TAP Craft Beer Bar, you are entitled to their free flow SPAM fries with any drink purchase.
You can also order the SPAM fries ($8) off the menu, if you’re not going on a Thursday.
These greasy strips of decadence come with a sweet chilli aioli that just elevates the dish to another level. If this doesn’t ignite a fire in your soul, we don’t know what will.
TAP Craft Beer Bar Are you getting sick of fries yet? Don’t worry. This one’s different. It’s still luncheon meat, but it’s deep fried mashed luncheon meat. Same but different. True to their name, these are so delightfully crispy and savoury, it’s just happiness with every bite. The best part? It’s only $6. Now both our stomachs and wallets are happy. Sinpopo Brand Think Doritos, but made of SPAM. A SPAM Dorito. A SPAM Chip. These SPAM Chips ($8.50) served at PARK cafe at Holland Village are so good and easy to eat. They’ll disappear faster than you can say “PARK Cafe”. PARK at Holland Village For those of you who don’t know, Musubi is essentially SPAM sushi. Because sashimi is expensive. Aloha Poké has managed to create these addictive little musubis, where each slab of SPAM is coated with a caramelised secret sauce and rests upon a bed of sushi rice. For $11, you get a serving of 6 musubis. Our only gripe? 6 musubis is not enough. Aloha Poké [caption id="attachment_31343" align="aligncenter" width="1080"] Image Credit: @tanukiraw[/caption]
This. This is the ultimate SPAM dish. Thick cut SPAM fries piled with cheese, black garlic brown butter gravy (we know, right?), sour cream, guacamole, and onions. Honestly, is there anything better? For just $13.90, you get to relish in this sinful bowl of SPAM. Just looking at this gives us life. However, do note that SPAM WHAM! is only available at the Orchard Central outlet. Tanuki Raw Fries have never looked more outdated and our stomachs have never growled any louder. We’re going to get all of these for a SPAM buffet. Which SPAM dish are you going to try first? You Can Literally Run Around Shooting Zombies In S’pore’s First Warehouse Scale VR Gaming Experience
Technology has changed our lives in many ways, and one of the most exciting areas we’ve seen this happen is in the arena of gaming.
We’ve gone from watching our character on a screen to playing as our characters through a virtual reality (VR) headset. Soon, we’ll be able to roam virtual worlds freely with the help of Zero Latency‘s state-of-the-art VR systems.

If you’re concerned about running into walls and hurting yourself, don’t worry. With 200 square meters of game space (and a much larger virtual space), and some tricks Zero Latency has up its sleeves, bumping into things will be the least of your worries as you play.
[caption id="attachment_31173" align="alignnone" width="1280"] Image Credit: Gizmodo Australia[/caption]Curious to try this experience for yourself?
It’ll cost $69 per person to play, and the price is inclusive of a 15 minute briefing and 30 minutes of actual game play. Look out for Zero Latency’s launch special, where players will only need to pay a discounted rate of $59.
[caption id="attachment_31171" align="alignnone" width="1200"] Zero Latency Brisbane (Image Credit: Twitter)[/caption]If you’d like to try your hand at more than one game during your session, or want a double session, opt for one of their packages, which allows you to do either of these things at a better rate.
Up to 8 players can play per session, so bear this in mind when you make plans with your mates!
Zero Latency is bringing VR gaming at its finest to Singapore, and we cannot wait to try it. Unfortunately, we still have to wait for a bit before we can get one of those headsets onto our heads, but we’re sure it’ll be worth the wait!

Singapore’s First Treehouse Hotel Opens In 2023, With Pandas And Otters As Neighbours
As children, many of us probably had fantasies of living in a treehouse. If you’re like us, you may have imagined yourself swinging from vine to vine like Tarzan, and being in the wild, living amongst animals.
Soon, that fantasy may turn into a reality.
Come 2023, a brand new resort will be opening in Mandai, and it promises treehouses, elevated cabins, and cottages at the doorstep of Singapore’s wildlife parks.

Singapore has changed so much within a short amount of time.
We’ve grown Smarter, our food (and palate) has grown fancier, and we’ve had international acts grace our shores and give us some amazing performances. But every now and then, it’s good to take a moment to remember the past, to reminisce simpler times, and to delight in the simple things that make us who we are.
“Let’s Go Jalan Jalan” is a food and music festival that brings all the most iconic things about Singapore – both new and old – to one place.
Happening from 17 – 19 Nov, this three-day event will take place at the nostalgic The Three Peacocks @ Labrador Park and will feature over 100 varieties of food and merchandise stalls.

Harking back to simpler times, there will be henna stalls, stalls selling handcrafted ware, and a creative heritage trail!

1. Halloween Horror Nights 7
First on the list is a Halloween house that requires no introduction.
[caption id="attachment_30574" align="alignnone" width="1443"] Image Credit: Resorts World Sentosa[/caption]Universal Studios’ Halloween Horror Nights is back for its seventh edition, and this year’s scare-fest is themed after the seven dead-lier sins: cruelty, deception, malice, manipulation, narcissism, perversion and obsession.
Come face to face with your worst nightmares when you enter the 5 haunted houses, which include a mall filled with ghosts (‘Death Mall’), an eerie hut haunted by the Midnight Man (‘Hex’), and see what evils lurk within the minds of the malevolent (‘Inside The Mind’).
[caption id="attachment_30575" align="alignnone" width="2000"] Image Credit: Resorts World Sentosa[/caption]Wander through 2 scare zones, one of which is a sanctuary for the 7 sins (‘Pilgrimage of Sin’), and another of which is a macabre twist on your favourite holidays (‘Happy Horror Days‘).
Another highlight at Halloween Horror Nights this year is also a HHN first – Zombie laser tag. For the first time in Halloween Horror Nights history, you get the chance to defend yourself against the horrors you will meet.
