Comedian Jo Koy Makes A Pitstop In S’pore This June For One Night Only

If you’ve heard of a particular comedian asking his mother for the location of his car keys, then you’ve seen one of Jo Koy‘s stand-up performances.

The hilarious Filipino-American comedian is bringing his latest global tour, “BREAK THE MOLD” to Singapore on 30 June 2018, at Zepp @ BigBox Singapore!

From performing in a Las Vegas coffee house to nearly breaking a world record for selling the most number of tickets as a single artist and even having his own “Jo Koy Day”.

If you’re wondering, it’s 24 November. That’s Jo Koy Day, as proclaimed by the Mayor’s office in Honolulu.

Ticket prices go from $88 to $168, excluding booking fee.

The Fan Club pre-sale for the tickets are live until 5 April 2018, 5pm.

Public sales begin on 6 April 2018 at 10am and can be purchased here.

Lose Yourself In Eminem’s “Mom’s Spaghetti” Pop-Up In Singapore This April

If you’re a fan of Eminem, “Mom’s Spaghetti” should trigger something in you.

The dish stems from his iconic track “Lose Yourself” and now, Eminem is serving the actual spaghetti as part of a promotional campaign for his latest album, Revival.

The first Eminem pop-up serving Spaghetti and Meatballs was held in December in Detroit where merchandise was sold along with to-go containers of classic spaghetti and spaghetti sandwiches.

This year promises to be bigger and better than ever!

Featuring headliners such as Ms. Lauryn Hill, Jamie Cullum, Lalah Hathaway, Parov Stellar, visionary French artist Sebastian Tellier, Brazilian guitar legend Paulinho Garcia, as well as internationally renowned DJs, Sasha and Ferry Corsten!

The DJ-producer was last in Singapore for ZoukOut 2017. This time, he’s bringing back his signature tracks as well as new hits and high-octane remixes.

Well known for his amazing collaborations with the likes of Troye Sivan, Alessia Cara and Ariana Grande, fans can expect to hear his latest and greatest hits such as “Clarity”, “The Middle” and “Stay”.

8. OneRepublic Live In Singapore

OneRepublic will be returning to Singapore on 23 April 2018 for a one night only concert at The Star Theatre @ The Star Performing Arts Centre!

Following the release of their latest album, “Oh My My”, OneRepublic is finally bringing their music back to Singapore.

Fans can expect to hear OneRepublic’s classic songs such as “Counting Stars”, “I Lived”, “Secrets” as well as their more recent hits such as “Wherever I Go” and “No Vacancy”.

9. Yiruma Live In Singapore

What do the Twilight Saga and famous K-drama, Winter Sonata, have in common?

Both had soundtracks featuring songs composed by well-known Korean classical composer and pianist, Yiruma.

Following his sold out concerts in 2015, 2016 and 2017, Yiruma will be returning to Singapore on 28 April 2018 for a one night only performance at The Star Theatre.

21. Sam Smith ‘The Thrill Of It All’ Tour Live In Singapore 2018

Sam Smith will be coming to Singapore on 2 October 2018 for a ONE NIGHT ONLY performance!

While ticketing details have not been released at the moment, we do know that he will be performing at the Singapore Indoor Stadium!

The tour announcement follows the release of his latest album ‘The Thrill Of It All’ back in November 2017.

Fans will be able to watch Sam Smith perform hits from the album, such as the emotional “Too Good At Goodbyes”, “One Last Song” and “Burning”.

Who knows? He might even sing some of his older songs that we’re all familiar with.

SING JAZZ 2018 Returns This April With The Best That Jazz Has To Offer

The annual Singapore International Jazz Festival (SING JAZZ) returns for its 5th edition at Marina Bay Sands Singapore from 6 – 8 April 2018!

This year promises to be bigger and better than ever!

Featuring headliners such as Ms. Lauryn Hill, Jamie Cullum, Lalah Hathaway, Parov Stellar, visionary French artist Sebastian Tellier, Brazilian guitar legend Paulinho Garcia, as well as internationally renowned DJs, Sasha and Ferry Corsten!

SING JAZZ 2018 will be expanded across the Marina Bay waterfront, with 3 stages and over 30 hours of world-class music entertainment!

The Main Stage

The Main Stage will see many big names performing over the 3 days of the festival.

Sebastian Tellier, Paulinho Garcia, Parov Stelar, Gogo Penguin and Weish take the main stage on the first day of the festival.

The second day sees Jamie Cullum take the stage, together with Lalah Hathaway, Tompi, and the Teng Ensemble.

Jeremy Monteiro leads JASSO (The Jazz Association SG Orchestra) on the third day, along with the House of the Gypsies, Brand New Heavies, and Incognito, featuring Omar and Leee John.

Main Stage performances start at 5pm to 10.30pm on Friday, and 4pm to 10.30pm on Saturday and Sunday.

The Late Show

No this isn’t the one with Stephen Colbert.

However, this Late Show does have a few big names too.

The first Late Show on Friday will feature Estelle, DJ Sasha, DJ Ferry Corsten, DJ Drem, Soul II Soul, and Tim De Cotta.

The second and last Late Show will see the legendary Ms. Lauryn Hill herself, take the stage. Other performers include MAS1A, DJ Nu-Mark, and DJ Jnr Tirso.

That’s not all, this year’s Jazz Festival has a brand new addition in the form of the SING JAZZ Festival Village at the Event Square on the Ebenex Stage by the Marina Bay waterfront.

We’ve seen One Piece-themed establishments in Japan, such as The Baratie restaurant in Fuji Television headquarters. There’s also an indoor theme park located inside the Tokyo Tower, aptly named the Tokyo One Piece Tower, which also houses the Mugiwara Cafe.

And finally, we have our very own One Piece-themed establishment. For a week.

Come dressed as your favourite One Piece character and take photos with a life-size Luffy figurine! You might get an exclusive goodie bag worth $100, while stocks last.

Calling all gamers, SAFRA ESports Carnival is back for its second edition from 31 March to 1 April 2018!

The Solo category matches will be held on 31 March 2018, with prizes worth up to $500 to be won. The Team category matches will be held on 1 April 2018 with $1500 worth of prizes to be won.

Registration is free. However, do register before 29 March 2018 as there are limited slots available.

Solo players register The Challenge Zone

The Challenge Zone will see participants complete the game challenges for DOTA 2, FIFA and Street Fighter to win attractive prizes.

If you’re a Street Fighter fan, take on the Street Fighter Challenge where 2 participants will battle each other with their favourite Street Fighter characters.

However, to complete the challenge, participants will have to end the match with a SPECIAL ATTACK such as Hadouken.

Once participants have completed 2 out of the 3 challenges above, their final challenge is to take a photo of themselves at the Gamer’s Corner and post it on their social media platforms with the hashtag, #SAFRAESPORTS2018.

Inflatable Animals And Mythical Creatures Take Over Marina Bay This March

There are plenty of events happening in March but not everything caters well to children.

But not this one.

The Art-Zoo Inflatable Park @ i Light Marina Bay 2018 is the coolest and largest experiential art playground in Singapore this March!

A Bouncing Good Time

From 9 March 2018 to 1 April 2018, The Art-Zoo Inflatable Park @ i Light Marina Bay 2018 welcomes visitors of all ages to embark on a colourful journey with larger-than-life animals, plants and mythical creatures.

With various themed inflatables, the Art-Zoo is not just colourful, it’s incredibly fun.

The first thing that’ll capture your attention, is the huge Unicorn, rising above the rest of the inflatables.

The most fabulous inflatable in the park, is the “Magical Rainbow” inflatable slide.

Standing at 19m, this inflatable is nearly as tall as 4 and half double-deck buses stacked on top of one another!

Step into “The Beetles”, which are a cluster of inflatables resembling ladybirds. The largest ladybird is hollow and contains multiple luminous balls that make for the perfect Kodak moment.

Another inflatable to look out for is the “BBB – Bubbly Bear Bath” which features the iconic Art-Zoo bear in a bath, complete with 150,000 white balls and other inflatables such as a body brush and a bar of soap!

This is a fun one because it’s essentially a ball pit. However, do watch out as it can get slippery.

There are many more inflatables for the kids and adults alike, to explore. Every inflatable makes for a great photo opportunity with their vibrant colours and adorable designs.
