McDonald’s Is Sneaking Its Way Into Our Hearts With Its All New Ninja Burger

While the Samurai Burger is a must-eat every time it comes back on the McDonald’s menu, there’s a new burger coming that may soon be getting all the attention.

Named the ‘Ninja Burger’, McDonald’s has gone dark with its latest offering, with black charcoal sesame burger buns that resemble the all-black gear of a Japanese Ninja.

This new McDonald’s burger contains a crispy chicken thigh patty, a good slathering of sweet Japanese Nanban sauce, sliced cucumbers, shredded white cabbage, and tartar sauce.

Order it as part of a meal and it’ll come with Seaweed Shaker Fries (L) and Heaven & Earth Green Tea (M) for $9.20. If you want to enjoy the burger on its own, you can order it a la carte at $6.40!

Given the beloved status of the Samurai Burger and the incredible success that was the Nasi Lemak Burger, we won’t be surprised if the Ninja Burger really takes off.

Available from 2 Nov onwards, be sure to get it at your nearest McDonald’s once it’s out!

Ed Sheeran Announces He “Should Be Alright” To Perform Singapore Show Next Month

Fans of Ed Sheeran, if you’ve been waiting with bated breath for updates on whether the singer will be well enough to perform in Singapore next month, here’s the good news you’ve been waiting for.

The singer has just released a video on his Facebook page saying that with his physical therapy and whatnot, he “should be alright to go for the Singapore show early next month”.

The singer recently injured himself in a cycling accident, fracturing his right wrist and left elbow.

Previously, he announced via his Instagram that he would be “unable to perform live concerts for the immediate future”.

Foster The People To Perform One Night Only Concert In Singapore In January 2018

In the past couple of weeks, we’ve seen a slew of concert announcements, and here’s one more to add to the list – Foster The People will be landing in Singapore come January next year!

The four-piece indie pop outfit that first made waves with its infectious single ‘Pumped Up Kicks’ is back with a new sound, and we’ll soon be able to experience it all LIVE.

Foster The People will be performing here in Singapore for one night only on 30 January, 2018 at Zepp @ BigBox Singapore.

They will be performing hits from their newest record ‘Sacred Hearts Club’, featuring the hit single ‘Doing it for the Money’. With any luck, we’ll also get to hear some of our old faves including ‘Helena Beat’ and ‘Houdini’!

Early-bird tickets are tagged at $158* (Pen A) and $138* (Pen B), and will go on sale at 9am on Oct 20.

Fans of Bruno Mars, it’s official – the Grammy Award-winning singer and songwriter will be bringing his 24K Magic World Tour to Singapore!

Mark your calendars – the Uptown Funk singer will be performing at the Singapore Indoor Stadium on 6 May 2018.

Tickets are priced at S$348, S$298, S$288, S$248 and S$168 and will go on sale next Thursday, October 19 at 10am.

Yishun step aside, Jurong West has gotten its own ‘smart’ hawker centre.

Located at Jurong West Street 61, next to Pioneer Mall, this 500-seater ‘smart’ hawker centre has 34 food stalls and a 14-stall wet market.

This is Singapore’s 2nd “smart” hawker centre after Yishun Park Hawker Centre.

A Smarter Hawker Centre

Jurong Hawker Centre has self-payment kiosks that accept cash. It also offers 8 other cashless payment options such as Apple Pay, Paywave and EZ Link Payment.

Diners also get to enjoy free wi-fi.

The food centre also has 3 tray-collecting robots to increase the efficiency of clearing tables and also to help diners who might not be able to carry their tray to the Tray Return Area.

Keeping Hawker-Fare At Hawker Prices

Aside from being a ‘smart’ hawker, this hawker centre is managed on a not-for-profit basis.

As such, each cooked food stall in this complex sells 2 regular-portion dishes at $2.80, ensuring there is a cheap option at every stall.

With 34 different hawker stalls, there is no shortage of variety and cuisines for diners to choose from.

The hawker centre will also be used to host community activities such as fairs, flea markets and music performances, in an effort to make it a natural gathering place for residents to dine and bond.

Laneway Festival Singapore 2018 Reveals Lineup Including The War On Drugs, Wolf Alice, And More

The St. Jerome’s Laneway Festival is back for its 8th iteration and the highly anticipated indie festival has just revealed a stunning lineup.

Happening on 27 January 2018, the festival promises to be a total sensory experience, bringing the best live acts – both new and established – onto the Laneway stage for music fans.

A Big Bang Theory Escape Room Is Coming To S’pore So You Can Channel Your Inner Sheldon

From 5 – 8 October, Warner TV will be bringing its first Escape Room Challenge to Singapore. The escape rooms will each be themed after one show from the Warner TV catalogue.

There will be a room each for Arrow, Gotham, DC’s Legends of Tomorrow, The Big Bang Theory, Blindspot and Lethal Weapon.

Expect tasks, clues and puzzles themed after the various shows. Will we get to step into Arrow’s lair? Will we get to board the Waverider? Or will we get to sit in Sheldon’s spot? Who knows!
