What makes them great is that the fact that they do not use trans fat oils or MSG in their products, so you know you’re putting only the good stuff in your body.

Food and Beverage operator No Signboard Holdings, known for its seafood eateries, snagged the exclusive franchise deal to sell Mom’s Touch popular Korean-style fried chicken in Singapore and Malaysia.

This also means that you will still have to wait for a couple more months before they open the first store in Singapore. But we’re pretty sure Mom’s Touch Chicken And Burger is worth the wait.

So for all our Korean fried chicken fans, get ready to indulge in some finger lickin’ Korean fried chicken soon!

In the mean time, we’ll leave you to an hour long mukbang of two guys indulging in Mom’s Touch fried chicken.

McDonald’s Samurai Burger And Shaker Fries Returns To Macs On Oct 4 Along With A New Savoury Pie

A year ago, a treasure was taken away from us.

Back after a year long absence, the Samurai Burgers from McDonald’s will be available from 4th October onwards for a limited time only.

Accompanying these burgers on their return trip is an assortment of old and new sides like the Dinosaur McFlurry, a savoury pie and our favourite seaweed shaker fries that got a whole new upgrade!

They’re Back!

The Samurai Burger is among the cult favourites of McDonald’s fans in Singapore.

[caption id="attachment_37644" align="aligncenter" width="1200"] Image Credit: McDonald’s Singapore[/caption]

If you’ve never had a Samurai Burger (why?!), you can expect to sink your teeth into a juicy quarter pound beef or chicken patty dipped in teriyaki sauce and lettuce sandwiched between sesame buns.

No words can possibly describe our love for the Samurai Burger and we’re just really glad it’s finally back in stores. Available from $6.10 a la carte, you better hurry and get your hands on the Samurai Burgers before they’re gone again.

[caption id="attachment_37640" align="aligncenter" width="4387"]mcdonalds Image Credit: McDonald’s Singapore®[/caption]

If you’ve been craving for McDonald’s famous seaweed shaker fries, then you’ll be pleased to know that they got a whole new upgrade. The Roasted Sesame & Sesame Shaker Fries ($3.40 a la carte) is bound to be an addictive snack.

A couple of days ago, McDonald’s announced that they will be revealing their first ever savoury pie on the menu.

[caption id="attachment_37639" align="aligncenter" width="7000"]mcdonalds Image Credit: McDonald’s Singapore®[/caption]

And they delivered. The all-new Creamy Herb Chicken Pie ($1.80), the first of its kind at McDonald’s, is a burst of creaminess that packs all the goodness of chicken, carrots, potatoes, peas and mushrooms.

It’s different from the usual McDonald’s pie as the exterior is a flakier spiral crust – think Old Chang Kee Chicken Mushroom’O curry puff.

Finally, end off your meal with the indulgent Dinosaur McFlurry ($3) which comes with a generous amount of Milo powder and cocoa puffs.

[caption id="attachment_37641" align="aligncenter" width="4488"]mcdonalds Image Credit: McDonald’s Singapore®[/caption]

Mark your calendars, set your alarm clock and camp in front of McDonald’s because you’re about to indulge in one of McDonald’s best creations. All items are available after breakfast hours in all restaurants island-wide and via McDelivery from 4 October, while stocks last.

FatBurger Gives You A Taste Of America With Its Quadruple-Sized Burgers – To Open 7 September

First, Shake Shack announces that they’ll be opening in Jewel Changi Airport.

Now, another American fast food chain has announced that they will be opening in Singapore – say hello to Fatburger!

[caption id="attachment_36760" align="aligncenter" width="1000"]FatBurger Singapore Image Credit: FatBurger Singapore[/caption]

Most of you would be wondering what Fatburger is, because our American fast food vocabulary is limited to Shake Shack, In-N-Out, Wendy’s and McDonald’s.

To start off, there is no affiliation to FatPapas or FatBoy’s.

All-American Fast Food

Fatburger has actually been around since 1952 and voted as America’s Best Burger on many occasions.

[caption id="attachment_36771" align="aligncenter" width="1500"]FatBurger Singapore Image Credit: FatBurger Singapore[/caption]

It’s odd that they’ve managed to stay out of Singaporeans’ fast food radar, considering that they have outlets in Japan, Beijing, and the Philippines.

Now that they’ve decided to open in Singapore, the first 2 stores will be opening in OneKM Mall in Katong and Velocity at Novena Square.

Here’s a look at what the stores are expected to look like.

[caption id="attachment_36767" align="aligncenter" width="2000"]FatBurger Singapore Image Credit: FatBurger Singapore[/caption] [caption id="attachment_36768" align="aligncenter" width="1472"]FatBurger Singapore Image Credit: FatBurger Singapore[/caption] [caption id="attachment_36769" align="aligncenter" width="1472"]FatBurger Singapore Image Credit: FatBurger Singapore[/caption] [caption id="attachment_36770" align="aligncenter" width="1472"]FatBurger Singapore Image Credit: FatBurger Singapore[/caption]

If you think this is just another run-of-the-mill fast food chain, think again. Every burger is cooked upon order using fresh lean beef, chicken, or turkey.

While the full menu has not been revealed, we do know that you can choose to customise your burger in 4 available sizes – Single, Double, Triple, and Quadruple.

[caption id="attachment_36761" align="aligncenter" width="923"]FatBurger Singapore Image Credit: FatBurger[/caption]

The last fast food chain that offered multi-layered burgers was Wendy’s (and we all know what happened to her). But here’s to Fatburger bringing it back because we’re all for customisable meals.

For sides, there’s your standard skinny fries, fat fries (chips), sweet potato fries, and onion rings. We’re loving this inclusivity. #AllSidesMatter

[caption id="attachment_36762" align="aligncenter" width="917"]FatBurger Singapore Image Credit: FatBurger[/caption]

That’s not all, they even offer Buffalo Wings – traditional, boneless, and tenders.

[caption id="attachment_36763" align="aligncenter" width="1076"]FatBurger Singapore Image Credit: FatBurger[/caption]

To go with your burger, fries and buffalo wings, how about some milkshakes?

[caption id="attachment_36766" align="aligncenter" width="960"]FatBurger Singapore Image Credit: FatBurger Singapore[/caption]

FatBurger has 4 flavours to choose from – Chocolate, Strawberry, Vanilla, and Cookies & Cream.

[caption id="attachment_36765" align="aligncenter" width="852"]FatBurger Singapore Image Credit: FatBurger[/caption]

The first outlet to open will be at OneKM, on 7 September 2018. The outlet at Velocity @ Novena Square will open a week later, on 14 September 2018.

Are you excited to try Fatburger?

A&W And Shake Shack Are Set To Open At Jewel Changi Airport In 2019

a&w singapore

Once again, the East side beats the West, with 2 major fast food chains opening next year in Jewel Changi Airport.

New Fast Food Chains In The East

A&W Singapore

First on the list, is A&W Singapore. Since their announcement of their impending return to Singapore, they’ve remained very quiet with little to no details given.

[caption id="attachment_35877" align="aligncenter" width="547"]a&w singapore Image Credit: A&W Singapore[/caption]

All we knew was that the A&W Singapore outlet will be its flagship outlet and it will be halal-certified, so that’s great news for our Muslim friends.

But now, it has been announced that they will open in Jewel Changi Airport, when it’s completed in 2019!

A&W used to have 5 outlets in Singapore before closing them all in 2003, much to the dismay of my parents.

Since the closure of all Singapore outlets, the only way Singaporeans could get their A&W fix was in Malaysia, where there are over 36 A&W outlets still serving their classic frothy root beer, curly fries, and the Beef Coney hot dog.

[caption id="attachment_35876" align="aligncenter" width="1024"]a&w singapore Image Credit: hip2save[/caption]

I’ve never eaten at A&W before though I do love their root beers, so I’m excited to see why my parents loved them so much.

Shake Shack Singapore

For the millennials and visiting New Yorkers, one of the most famous fast food chains in America, will be opening its first outlet in Singapore.

It’s Shake Shack!

The West Coast in the States has In-N-Out, while the East Coast held their own with Shake Shack.

Shake Shack first opened in New York serving up burgers and hand-spun frozen custard.

[caption id="attachment_35879" align="aligncenter" width="960"]shake shack singapore Image Credit: Shake Shack[/caption]

They’re well known for their simple yet delicious burgers, such as the classic Shackburger® – a single or double cheeseburger with lettuce and tomato, topped with their signature Shack Sauce™.

Here’s hoping that their Cheese Fries won’t devolve into the sad state of McDonald’s Cheese Fries.

[caption id="attachment_35880" align="aligncenter" width="640"]shake shack singapore Image Credit: Shake Shack[/caption]

Shake Shack has many outlets across the United States, and each outlet is said to have their very own exclusive menu items, and some Shake Shack outlets even have a breakfast menu!

Which makes me wonder if the Singapore outlet will be getting any exclusive menu items. Will we be getting a Singapore-inspired burger? Or maybe Rendang Fries?

Either way I’m excited to try Shake Shack.

Opening In 2019

These 2 fast food giants are set to open once the construction of Jewel Changi Airport is completed.

Jewel Changi Airport will be linked with Changi Airport Terminal 1, with Terminals 2 and 3 accessible via air-conditioned pedestrian linkways fitted with travelators.

The new Jewel Changi Airport will have 7 storeys and over 280 shops, with a good 30% of the shops being F&B outlets.

All Subway Singapore Outlets To Stop Selling Pork From Today Onwards

Subway Singapore has announced on their Facebook page that they will no longer be serving pork products in all outlets from today onwards.

https://www.facebook.com/SubwaySingapore/posts/10155927711210935

Say Goodbye To Pork

“No pork, doesn’t mean other meat are halal already what?”

I know, I know, but this also means we’re one step closer to easing everyone into the idea of a Halal Subway!

This topic has been a hit among Singaporeans as we debate endlessly in the comments section whether “To halal or not to halal?”

Just take a look at the comments.

[caption id="attachment_33667" align="aligncenter" width="978"] Image Credit: Subway Singapore Facebook[/caption]

[caption id="attachment_33669" align="aligncenter" width="988"] Image Credit: Subway Singapore Facebook[/caption]

Oh, this one’s my favourite.

[caption id="attachment_33670" align="aligncenter" width="998"] Image Credit: Subway Singapore Facebook[/caption]

Someone please, just save this poor person and give her the Italian BMT already! I almost feel bad for her potential breakup with the sandwich.

Since end of January, Subway has been in talks with MUIS regarding the halal certification process. Everyone found out, threw a fit and acted as if the world was about to end.

Subway didn’t care anyway and almost 60 outlets have stopped selling pork products since 31 January. If you didn’t already know, you can see the list here.

I get it. I’m so sorry for the loss of your pork. But please, please, give us Muslims a chance to enjoy Subway. I’m so tired of travelling all the way to JB just for a goddamn sandwich.

[caption id="attachment_33673" align="aligncenter" width="400"] Gif Credit: giphy.com[/caption]

I understand that it may seem unfair to take the pork out of Subway for all the hardcore fans but let’s all calm down and wait for Subway’s explanation.

Subway may lose a couple of patrons because they no longer want to sell pork, but I’m pretty sure the rest of the non-pork eating community are more than happy to still patronise Subway.

KFC’s Red Hot Szechuan Chicken is like your favourite Red Hot Chicken – but on Szechuan spice steroids.

[caption id="attachment_31603" align="aligncenter" width="470"] Image Credit: KFC[/caption]

The chicken is doused in a Szechuan marinade, coated in red hot batter, and then topped with chilli sprinkle for good measure.

As if being KFC’s spiciest chicken isn’t enough, the chicken comes served with a flaming hot sauce. Because we don’t need our digestive system anyway.

The Red Hot Szechuan Chicken is $3.50 for a single piece. It also comes in a Red Hot Meal ($8.50) and Red Hot Box ($10.20), and is available from 15 November 2017 – 2 January 2018.

McDonald’s Is Sneaking Its Way Into Our Hearts With Its All New Ninja Burger

While the Samurai Burger is a must-eat every time it comes back on the McDonald’s menu, there’s a new burger coming that may soon be getting all the attention.

[caption id="attachment_31119" align="aligncenter" width="713"] Image Credit: McDonald’s[/caption]

Named the ‘Ninja Burger’, McDonald’s has gone dark with its latest offering, with black charcoal sesame burger buns that resemble the all-black gear of a Japanese Ninja.

This new McDonald’s burger contains a crispy chicken thigh patty, a good slathering of sweet Japanese Nanban sauce, sliced cucumbers, shredded white cabbage, and tartar sauce.

Order it as part of a meal and it’ll come with Seaweed Shaker Fries (L) and Heaven & Earth Green Tea (M) for $9.20. If you want to enjoy the burger on its own, you can order it a la carte at $6.40!

Given the beloved status of the Samurai Burger and the incredible success that was the Nasi Lemak Burger, we won’t be surprised if the Ninja Burger really takes off.

Available from 2 Nov onwards, be sure to get it at your nearest McDonald’s once it’s out!

KFC Just Released A Double Steamed Chicken Burger And We Hope To God They’re Trolling Us

If it’s not already obvious, Singaporeans LOVE their fast food.

Last month, Singaporeans went Nasi Lemak Burger-crazy when McDonald’s released the limited edition burger. In fact, Singaporeans loved it so much that McDonald’s sold out of these local-inspired burgers in less than 2 weeks!

Clearly, we take our fast food very seriously.

The New Burger In Town

Recently, KFC released a teaser image on its Facebook page – the silhouette of a burger.

The image was simply captioned “Are you down for a new version of an all-time favourite?

Netizens quickly began speculating, and many of them guessed that this signified the return of the all meat, no bun Zinger Double Down Burger.

[caption id="attachment_29127" align="aligncenter" width="540"] Image Credit:

What… The… Hell… Right?

Similar, and yet very much unlike the beloved Zinger Double Down Burger, the Double Steamed Chicken Burger comprises two steamed chicken fillets, sauerkraut coleslaw, spicy pickled cucumber and sambal honey sauce.

This news was (understandably) met with fury from fans of KFC, with commenters being quick to remind the fast food chain what the F in its name stood for; “fried” chicken is what KFC is known for, not, well, steamed chicken.

Is KFC Trolling Us All?

Of course, there is a shred hope that this is all just a joke and that KFC is just trolling us all – at least, that’s what we hope is going on here.

What do you guys think? Is this a joke? Is KFC for real? Let us know in the comments!
