Calling all Potterheads, this is going to be the best Christmas present you’ve received in years!

Ever since we knew about the existence of Wizarding World Of Harry Potter, most of us could only dream of setting foot in that bewitching universe to live like the magical folks. Now, it looks like muggles like you may have the chance to do that, after all!

Although it’s not exactly the entire universe, you can experience bits of that wonderful world at Changi Airport!

Dive into the world of magic and wizardry set to enthral and captivate fans of the highly popular Harry Potter and Fantastic Beasts series.

Changi Airport is bringing the Wizarding World to you starting from 16 November 2018 up until February 2019. They have stunningly recreated various iconic scenes from the magical world of Harry Potter as part of their Christmas decoration.

A Harry Potter-themed Christmas? Wicked!

Here’s a look at the set ups that are available to the general public:

1. Diagon Alley (Terminal 3)

Spellbinding activities await at Hogwarts’ most famous shopping street Diagon Alley. Take a stroll down this town as you relive the very first time Harry bought his wand at Ollivanders!

Plus, here are some of the exciting activities you can do while you’re here:

Quaffle Toss

Think you have what it takes to be the best Quidditch player? This is your chance to put your theoretical Quidditch knowledge to the test.

Wand Challenge

Put your wand skills to the test. Have a go at this at spell casting games at this station!

Robes Fitting and GIF Photo Experience  

Always wanted to get fitted into the iconic Hogwarts robes? Well now you can!

All you have to do is pick your favourite Hogwarts house’s robes and snap a photo in front of the Magical Photo-Taking Mirror for a nice photo op.

Niffler Challenge Game

Challenge your opponent to a stacking game. Stack as many coins as you can on top of the Niffler’s statue without toppling them over.

Don’t forget to get your hands on exclusive Harry Potter merchandise including plush toys, scarves and travel pillows, available exclusively at Changi!

2. Hogsmeade Village (Terminal 3)

This is our favourite set, hands down.

Strike a pose in front of Hogsmeade’s iconic stores or take a picture against a life-sized version of the Hogwarts Express. If you’re there at the right time – you might just catch a snow and light show that will last till 6 January 2019!

Here are the timings to look out for if you’d like to catch the show:

Weekdays: 6pm, 7pm, 9pm

Weekends: 1pm, 6pm, 7pm, 9pm

It’s the most magical thing you’ll ever experience this Christmas.

3. Whomping Willow (Terminal 2)

Remember when Harry and Ron crashed the iconic Flying Ford Anglia into the Whomping Willow?

You definitely wouldn’t want to miss the perfect photo op at this iconic scene from Harry Potter and The Chamber Of Secrets.

Travelling out of Singapore soon? You wouldn’t want to miss the opportunity to soak in this magical world with other Potterheads just like you.

Get Your Marauder’s Map Ready – LEGO Launches A 6,000 Piece Hogwarts Castle Set That Costs $650

Do you like Harry Potter?

Do you like LEGO’s?

Do you happen to have $650 of expendable income lying around?

If you answered “yes” to all three questions, then brace your muggle heart, because everyone’s favourite toy brick company has come up with a stunning recreation of the one and only Hogwarts Castle.

You’re A Builder, Harry!

Okay, we’ll admit that this isn’t exactly *breaking* news — according to Brickipedia, LEGO have already released four versions of the iconic HP locale, but this one is so detailed that it’s probably the closest you’ll ever get to attending a Defence Against the Dark Arts class.

“How detailed can detailed be?”, you ask? Well, for starters, the set is comprised of a whopping 6,020 pieces, a significant upgrade over the previous iteration’s brick count of 1,290.

Everything from the Great Hall to the Chamber of Secrets is included, and you’ll have 27 microfigures of Harry and the gang to really make the place come alive.

We could go on, but you should just watch this video to get a proper sense of how grand this thing is:

Avada Kedavra, Wallet

As previously mentioned, however, this collector’s item will set you back $650 ($649.90, to be exact), but if you’re undeterred by the price tag you’ll be glad to know that you won’t have to wait too long before you can get your hands on one.

The set will be released this Saturday, the 1st of September, and it’s such a big deal that LEGO is currently holding a launch event for it at Compass One mall (sorry, west siders).

To sweeten the deal, early adopters will be treated to an exclusive “mosaic gift” that supposedly can’t be bought anywhere else.

For those who don’t have the cash but still want to join in the festivities, there’s still a host of Potter-themed activities to partake in, including the building of a 152cm x 152cm mosaic of the franchise’s titular character.

The event only ends on the 9th of September, so don’t feel too pressured to make an impulse buy — considering the price, we aren’t expecting these to fly off the shelves.

At this cafe reminiscent of The Three Broomsticks (the wizarding pub you may recognise from the Harry Potter books), a brick wall with a mystical-looking crest forms the perfect backdrop for all your photo-taking needs.

No mere muggle or wizard will be able to resist grabbing some nosh at this pretty place, and we quickly succumbed to their quirky menu that was filled with magical-sounding drinks, finger foods and desserts.

Where else can you find food that sounds like it came straight out of a spell book?

Drink, drank but not drunk: Mrs Lich’s Butterscotch Ale ($10)

Intense black sesame panna cotta, crispy charcoal cake, squid ink profiterole filled with mango creme and crackly lace tulle… Eat this, and embrace your dark side.

Here at Platform 1094, wizards and muggles alike are bonded by food, laughter and cosy camaraderie. Whiz by on your broomstick (or drop by on your two feet) whenever you’re craving a little magic in your cafe-hopping spree!
