Calling all Tsum Tsum fans, VivoCity is holding a full-blown Mid-Autumn fiesta featuring a myriad of Disney characters in their Tsum Tsum forms.

Held from 30 August to 30 September 2018 at VivoCity Sky Park Level 3, this Mid-Autumn celebration is a visual spectacle and a sight to behold, where over 2,000 Tsum Tsum themed lanterns will light up the night sky!

Happy endings do come true at the Fairytale Garden! Celebrate the love stories of 5 Disney princesses and take as many photos as you can.

Take a selfie with Cinderella’s iconic pumpkin carriage or explore a whole new world with Aladdin’s magic carpet. Trust us, you’ll be blown away by this spectacular showcase!

Make A Wish At The Wishing Wonderland

Explore the winter wonderland of Arendelle at the Frozen-themed Wishing Wonderland. 

Make a wish with Elsa, Anna and Olaf floating on the icy fractal lake. All you have to do is purchase a wishing card for $2 at TANGS Customer Service Counter at Level 1. All proceeds will be donated to the Children’s Cancer Foundation.

See The Largest Lantern Installation

Made out of 1,500 lanterns, this Mickey and Minnie lantern sculpture breaks the Asia Book of Records for the Largest Lantern Sculpture.

From now, till 30 September, head down to Vivocity’s Sky Park to witness this spectacular display in all its glory!

Lady M Created A Light-Up Lantern For Its Mooncakes, Because Boxes Are So Mainstream

As August draws to a close, it means two things – Halloween is coming, but before that, Mid-Autumn Festival.

That means breaking out the paper lanterns, sparklers, and of course, mooncakes.

This year, so many brands are putting out their own spin on the traditional delicacy. Some are sticking to tradition with classic mooncakes with lotus paste, white lotus paste or red bean paste; others are breaking tradition with alcoholic mooncakes, cheesecake mooncakes, ice cream mooncakes, and more.

With brands from the usual hotels to Mr Bean hawking their own versions of the confection, it takes something truly special to pierce through the competition – and we think Lady M‘s version takes the (moon)cake!

Snowskin Mooncakes In A Grand Lantern

This Mid-Autumn Festival, Lady M will be selling sets of 4 snowskin mooncakes, which will be available in 2 flavours: Cranberry Cheese White Chocolate Truffle and Peanut Butter Chocolate Truffle.

While these flavours sound completely non-traditional, don’t worry, the people at Lady M haven’t completely thrown tradition out the window.

The mooncakes, which come in pink and white respectively, are filled with white lotus paste, with a luxurious chocolate truffle core that’s filled with either cranberry cream cheese or smooth creamy peanut butter.

Each mooncake bears Lady M’s trademark “M”, embossed in place of the usual Mandarin characters or flowers.

While the mooncakes are special in and of themselves, their packaging is what’s won our hearts – these mooncakes are housed in a gorgeous lantern!

Limited Edition Lanterns

At first glance, you’ll see a pretty pink lantern, but only upon closer inspection will you see the intricacies of its design.

Battery-lit from the inside, you’ll notice the sides of the lantern are actually three dimensional windows. You’ll even spot tiny silhouettes of people having tea! The whole lantern resembles an ornate building, with pretty windows, columns, and Lady M’s “M” weaved seamlessly into its design.

Coming with a dainty, metallic chain attached for carrying around, lift the top piece and you’ll find the four mooncakes stacked one on top of the other!

Super pretty, this is far from your typical mooncake box or tin.

The Grand Lantern Mooncakes will only be available till 1 October 2017, and will be available in limited quantities, so make an order quickly!

Gardens By The Bay Presents Yet Another Date Night Opportunity. Hint: It Ends This Week!

From 3 to 18 September, in conjunction with Mid-Autumn festival, Gardens by the Bay will be transformed into a whole new light.

With dazzling displays of elaborately handcrafted lantern sets, multimedia installation, nightly performances and many other amazing highlights, Gardens by the Bay’s event is one you must not miss. Check out the line ups for this exciting event happening at the Gardens!

1. Be Amazed By Giant Lantern Displays

Join in the spectacular display of lanterns at the Gardens this Mid-Autumn. Giant lanterns measuring up to 27 metres will be displayed at various locations in the Gardens.

2. Stroll Through The Colonnade Of Lights

As you take a stroll along the Colonnade, appreciate the 4,000 colourful lanterns hanging above.

These paper lanterns are decorated by the community including local and international students and senior citizens.

3. Be wowed by Ron Arad’s  720°

Brought in by the Singapore International Festival of Arts, be wowed by the massive installation by designer extraodinaire Ron Arad.

He presents 720°, a monumental outdoor video installation with great creativity. At 18 metres in diameter, the installation is made up of 5,600 silicon cords of over 37 kilometres in length.

Drop by the Meadow to experience this magical interactive stage.

4. Indulge In A Hearty Spread

Not only will you get to feast on some of your salted egg yolk favourites, there’s even chilli crab mantous!

Indulge in your favourite Asian goodies and eat to your heart’s content while you soak in the festivities.

5. Craft And Fringe Activities

Try out various activities from lantern decorating, calligraphy to guess the riddle at the craft booths. Do note that some activities are chargeable.

Have fun reliving your childhood decorating and making lanterns and put them to good use for the night!

6. Enjoy Cultural Performances By Traditional Art Groups

Though Mid-Autumn festival is largely celebrated by the Chinese community, multi-ethnic groups will be putting up cultural performances at the Supertree Grove.

Themed “Moon | Conversations”, traditional art groups will be putting up performances ranging from evergreen Chinese songs to contemporary Indian music.
