1. ArtScience On Screen: High Adventure

If you’re a fan of documentaries like us, then you’ll love this. ArtScience On Screen: High Adventure is a programme of family-friendly films that appeals to our curiosity for the unknown and undiscovered.

The ArtScience Museum will be airing BBC’s Natural History Unit Presents Planet Earth 1 on loop from 20 December to 31 December 2017.

Narrated by the iconic Sir David Attenborough, Planet Earth 1 explores wildlife and habitats on our planet, as well as showcase behind-the-scenes challenges, all in high definition.

This is an event perfect for the whole family, and it will be a great opportunity for children to learn more about our natural environment and wildlife. What’s more, admission is free.

2. Moonbeats X’mas Party With Ryan Hemsworth And Friends In Singapore

This December, Moonbeats will be celebrating the festive season with the Moonbeats X’mas Party on 22 December 2017, together with Canadian producer, Ryan Hemsworth.

Ryan Hemsworth is an award-winning producer specialising in electronic music. He has produced music for Tinashe and Tory Lanez, among others. He has also remixed music by Frank Ocean, Beyoncé and Kanye West, to name a few.

The party will also feature local musicians Cherie Ko, Jorud, and buds.

Early bird tickets are priced at $25 while standard tickets go for $35.

Each ticket also comes with a complimentary drink!

3. Kojiki And The Universe

The Grammy and Golden Globe Award-winning Kitaro is back with a new unique visual experience, Kojiki And The Universe.

This concert merges the music from Kitaro’s album “Kojiki”, with a dance performance inspired by space-age.

Fans can also expect to hear Kitaro play his greatest hits in this spectacular concert.

4. Christmas Pop-Up Market & Workshop

W Market will be having their first event on 23 December 2017.

The Christmas Pop-up Market & Workshop will be the perfect place for you to do your last minute shopping before Christmas.

5. Yoga & Movie Under The Stars

Yes, you read that correctly. Yoga AND a movie. 60 minutes of gentle yoga in the evening, followed by a 3D movie after dark.

8. Hans Im Glück German Burgergrill

Burger joints are dime a dozen in Singapore. However, finding a good burger is a challenge. If you think that piling on expensive ingredients onto a burger is the way to go, then you’re missing out.

Hans Im Glück, the newest burger joint in Orchard, proves that sometimes less is more.

They serve up an extensive menu of burgers made with a wide variety of fresh ingredients. You can choose from beef, chicken breast, vegetable or vegan burgers.

That’s not all, you can also choose your type of bread, from Sourdough, Multigrain and Naked.

A must-try is the Wilder Westen ($16), a beef burger with aged cheddar cheese, BBQ sauce, and crispy fried onions. And definitely remember to order the 1 Pfund Süsskartoffel Fritten ($6++). Literally a pound of sweet potato fries. It’s crispy, not soggy and highly addictive.

9. District Sushi

Chirashi Don fans should prepare themselves. The newly opened District Sushi serves up a mean Bara Chirashi Don at an affordable price.

For just $10, the Bara Chirashi Don comes with fresh prawns, tuna and salmon. The sashimi cubes are chunky, lightly marinated, and fresh.

If you’re more of a cooked food person, try their Salmon Mentaiyaki Donburi ($10) which comes with a perfectly cooked salmon fillet and generous servings of mentaiko.

Do expect to queue for a bit if you’re here for your Chirashi Don fix.

10. Carrotsticks & Cravings

If you’re a fan of superfoods and clean eating, then you’ll love Carrotsticks & Cravings.

Armed with a compact menu and wholesome food, this place is our new favourite brunch spot. You can expect to see sourdough sandwiches and salads on the menu, as well as dairy and gluten-free food options.

A must-try is their Smashed Avo ($18), an open-face sourdough sandwich piled with mashed avocado, feta crumbs, and dukkah.

Another must-try is the Meredith’s Goat Cheese With Thyme Roasted Mushrooms ($18). Goat’s cheese and herb oil is smeared on an open sourdough sandwich and topped with thyme roasted portobello chunks, sprouts and herbs.

Who knew eating healthy would taste this good?
