1. Take A Hike @ MacRitchie Reservoir’s TreeTop Walk
[caption id="attachment_15585" align="alignnone" width="1024"] NParks.gov.sg[/caption] [caption id="attachment_15586" align="alignnone" width="960"] NParks.gov.sg[/caption]Located in MacRitchie Reservoir, the TreeTop Walk (TTW) is first free-standing bridge in Singapore and in the region. Connecting the two highest points (Bukit Peirce and Bukit Kalang) in MacRitchie, the TTW offers a bird’s eye view of the sprawling rainforest below! The total length of the walkway is about 250 m with the highest point at 25 m!
Get your hiking shoes ready because there are 2 main routes that will get you to the TTW. Both of which are moderately difficult to tackle. The shorter of the two route spans 7km and will take about you about 3-4 hours. Starting from Venus Drive, this route will take you through the northern and north-western part of MacRitchie Reservoir. The longer route spans an astounding 10km and will take you about 5 hours to tackle! However it’s the best route if you want to take in the whole MacRitchie as it takes you from the eastern side of MacRitchie right up to TTW!
A perfect weekend date if you’re looking to get away from the hustle and bustle of the city, the TreeTopWalk lets you truly experience the natural wonder of Singapore’s rainforest! Best part? It’s free!

Sentosa Is Now Home To Singapore’s FIRST Bungee Tower – 47 Meters Above Ground!
Great news for all adrenaline junkies out there, Sentosa is now home to Singapore’s first bungee tower! The bungee tower is part of AJ Hackett Sentosa. Set up by AJ Hackett International, this heart pounding recreational site is a 2,500 sq m adventure playground!
If you’re all about sky diving, bungee jumping…basically doing anything that would render me catatonic, you would have definitely heard of AJ Hackett International’s founder, A.J. Hackett. This New Zealander is seen as one of the pioneers of bungee jumping, so you know this bungee tower is the real deal!
Standing at 14 storeys high with two high jump decks and a 40m long sky bridge, this bungee tower is definitely a force to be reckoned with!
The best part about this bungee tower? It’s not just about bungee jumping, there are several other activities you can take on!
1. Bungee Jumping
If you’re a true thrill-seeker, Bungee Jumping will probably be the first activity you run to when you get to AJ Hackett Sentosa, and to be honest who can blame you?
Not for the faint of heart, participants jump off the high deck of the bungee tower, 47m above the ground! Best part about the bungee jump? There’s a 3.5m deep pool of water waiting for you at the bottom so you can let your head get dipped in the water!
2. Vertical Skywalk
If you want the thrill to last, try out the Vertical Skywalk! Supported by 2 ropes, participants get to walk down the main tower’s shaft (that’s 44m)!
Used by Navy Seals, The Army, Hollywood (of course) and now the average thrill-seeker! AJ Hackett Sentosa is the first AJ Hackett site to have this Vertical Skywalk!
Best part? You don’t have to do it alone! The Vertical Skywalk can take up to 3 people at any one time!
3. Skybridge
If thrill-seeking activities aren’t your style, don’t fret! There’s still the Skybridge! The tamest of the lot, participants can stroll out along the exposed skybridge, 47m above ground!
The only activity by AJ Hackett that doesn’t need a harnessing system. This activity is perfect for kids and those who prefer their feet firmly on the ground.
4. Giant Swings
Want to do something heart pounding but need a hand to hold? Giant Swings a great option if you and your friends want to enjoy the thrill together!
Set away from the bungee tower, the Giant Swings can accommodate up to 3 people and participants will get a bird’s eye view of Siloso beach 40m above ground!
Reaching speeds of over 100km/h, this activity may be the best out of the lot!
Unfortunately AJ Hackett Sentosa is not open to the public until March 2017! But hey, at least you have to something to set your sights on as a New Year’s resolution!

10 Proposal Spots In Singapore For That Special Someone You Want To BTO With
Proposals. They’re nerve wrecking enough without having to worry about the where, when and how. And with SO MANY proposals that are so amazing and out of this world (spoil market!) , we’re not going to blame you if you’re clueless on where to propose! We asked a few Singaporean ladies where’s a great place to be proposed to, and they gave us a simple yet oddly complicated answer:
“What kind of girl is she?”
Simple enough right? Find out what she enjoys doing and you’ve pretty settled on where you’re going to propose! If you’ve still haven’t found THE perfect place to propose. Don’t worry! We complied a list of the most romantic places in Singapore to propose!
If She Likes Nature..
Henderson Wave
[caption id="attachment_14249" align="alignnone" width="1024"] used to be THE SPOT to go dating and hang out with friends way back in the mid 2000s. To get up to Henderson Wave used to be quite an adventure, you had to take public transport before taking quite a hike up to the structure. At 36 meters above the ground, Henderson Waves bridge is the highest pedestrian bridge in Singapore. If your girlfriend is a fan of nature, bring her on the Southern Ridges Walk, a 5 kilometer hiking trail that takes you through Telok Blagah Hill Park and Mounth Faber.
Pack a picnic and sit down at the Henderson Waves right about sunset. You’ll be able to admire the setting sun against the backdrop of distant residential blocks, the perfect background for a romantic proposal.

Little Guilin
[caption id="attachment_14252" align="alignnone" width="1024"] Bukit Batok Park, Little Guilin got its name due to its similarity to that of Guilin in China. There are two shelters right across from the lake giving you a breathtaking view of the tranquil lake.
Bring your girlfriend here right after an early dinner, the fantastic view combined with the setting sun is the perfect backdrop for a proposal she won’t be able to refuse!

Esplanade Rooftop

Another old favourite amongst teens back in the mid 2000s. Offering views of Marina Bay and the city skyline, this outdoor space is a quiet getaway from the hustle and bustle downstairs. The roof terrace is landscaped with manicured lawns, benches and small shrubs and trees, so it’s a change of landscape from the modern architecture of CBD Singapore.
There are so many great restaurants around this area, including rooftop restaurant The Esplanade Co Ltd

Quayside Isle
[caption id="attachment_14254" align="alignnone" width="1600"] ,is that its quieter than Marina At Keppel Bay, yet gives the same air of luxury! It’s also home to the lavish National Gallery[/caption]If you’re a true blue Singaporean you would know that the National Gallery occupies two of Singapore’s landmarks; the Old Supreme Court and City Hall. The history of this building dates back to the 1920s where it was first named the Municipal Building.
The Supreme Court and the adjacent City Hall underwent a thorough restoration from 2012 until its grand opening in 2015.
If you’ve stepped into the National Gallery you would know that most if not all of the original architecture still remains. Let’s be honest, the art work pales in comparison to the grandeur of this national monument.
What’s great about the National Gallery is that the architecture and overall feel is dependent on which section of the National Gallery you’re at. The Ng Teng Fong Roof Garden Gallery, the Former Supreme Court Foyer and Inside the Rotunda are amazing places to propose!
